I'm glad I'm not the only one! =^^= I really dislike it when people portray Vietnam as tsundere - to me, she's more of a kuudere or dandere.  Then again, I tend to dislike most tsundere female characters, myself.   I do know two other people who don't like Vietnam being a tsundere - this picture was actually inspired from an RP'er who portrays Vietnam as mature, but shy and can hold herself.

I do believe that dandere and kuudere characters are very ignored in general. Plus, Vietnam sounds more tolerable then as a kuudere or dandere. I hate how tsundere characters are allowed to get away with physically abusing their possible love interest with no reason at all.
Tsundere guys are meh. Though, I do love Romano, because he's nice to girls. I only like Spain and Romano in a platonic relationship or father and son relationship (cause they remind me of Goofy and a older Max with cursing XD). I do stay away from SpaMano fics for good reasons.

Dandere I feel is one of the most ignored character archetypes - noticeably it's always tsundere and yandere.  Kuudere is starting to come to light nowadays, but even then, it's overshadowed by the tsun and yan varieties...TTwTT that's primarily the reason why I hate tsundere girls - because of the physical abuse they tend to give to their love interest.  There was only one tsundere girl I ever liked.  XD

I don't really care much for tsundere guys, but yeah - Romano's an exception, because you at least get insight of how his mind works, which is something most tsundere characters lack, and even then, I notice he's more snarky towards people as an adult.  XD same here! I love Spain and Romano having a familial, platonic relationship (Spamano is one of my most hated Hetalia ships).  I tried reading Spamano fics the first time I was introduced to Hetalia because I was told it's an awesome pairing, and honestly, I hated them: simply because fandom blew Romano's character out of proportion (particularly the tsundere part of him), and they're all the same (Romano is tsundere for Spain; Spain laughs and call its cute; Romano pouts and goes blushey; Spain is with some other person; Romano gets upset; Spain tells Romano he's worth it; the two kiss/confess/have smut; THE END.  Also, bonus points if France, Turkey or Belgium is the one who "gets in the way").  Also, it pisses me off that a nice guy like Spain was continuously getting hit and degraded, yet he just laughs and calls off this disgusting behaviour as "cute."

Only if Himaruya could write some Dandere and kuudere characters in Hetalia. I don't think that Liechtenstein's a dandere if you're going to say that (I hope that I didn't sound rude). She's actually sociable and loves talking to others.  So she's not a shy character, but I do see her the type to sit uncomfortably in the background if the group's much more bigger. 

I don't even care if SpaMano would become canon. I'll still like them as family. Romano's character is always ruined. Heck even in the oc or reader insert fanfics. Romano's still a jerk. I'm in between neutral and dislike on reader inserts, while apathetic on Canon x OCs. I only like ocs when the creator is actually putting effort in making them and using their creative minds.

Yeah, it'd be nice to see him use that archetype more.  ;w; actually I never noted that Liechtenstein was a dandere - to me, she's a proper little lady: that doesn't necessarily mean that she's shy and secluded.  =^^= 

I doubt anything would ever be canon (except Chibitalia x HRE; the one-sided SuFin; AusHun at one point, though I don't ship it at all) - even if rabid fans demand it of Himaruya, he'll never do it because:
1. It's offensive in general: the South Koreans flipped shit on Hetalia before, if he ever paired country representatives together, there's a good chance it'll offend a good number of people.
2. Relationships between countries are constantly changing: there'll always be developments, hate and friendships that change between countries, so pairing them together again is counter-productive.  If he paired two characters together, and they had a nasty falling out or argument in real-life terms, then the fans would get a worse reputation for being gullible idiots who have no consideration to real-life or political affairs.
3. Hetalia isn't even a romance genre: it's actually a historical satire aimed at the seinen demographic (young, adult males).
Plus, it was mentioned by Italians (somewhere online, I'm not sure where, and me asking a few Italians what they thought of Spaniards) that they actually kicked out Spaniards from their country because they wanted people to look at them as the Italians; not confuse them with the Spaniards, or have people think that they took some of Spain's traditions and culture and make them Italian. 

True that: I'll only look at Spain and Romano as family or best friends - that's it.  Yeah, I noticed he's always swearing at "Reader-chan" (that nickname honestly makes me want to barf: makes it sound like the reader is some "kawaii desu" little girl).  I read a good amount of Spain x Reader, but I have to say: a lot of the stories are extremely rushed, and not at all well-paced.  Canon x OC was ruined for me due to all of the Piri-chan OC's - I myself am Filipino, and I found the majority of them highly offensive because she's always paired with everyone, and everyone seems to think she's some special little snowflake, when that's definitely not the case.

That would offend some indeed. I've seen Hungarians disliking AusHun, PruHun and RomHun,  while Vietnamese fans are completely okay with shipping China x Vietnam.
Though, Spain did one time propose to Romano AND Italy. 

I twitch with every time when I see 'Reader-chan' (unless if she's related to Jackie Chan, then I'll understand XD). Well, most of Reader insert fics are written by teenagers whom don't know how to write a actual story. I dislike reader inserts, because I'm always this moe blob that the men fight over. I only like one Philippines oc, which is the one from the 'Maaf' comics. That's it. It makes me sad that the official Hetalia girls are ignored with all of these ocs being paired up with the guys, whom are turned into sex gods.

Yeah, little Liechtenstein deserves the best.   she's a sweetheart, and she's most certainly not weak - she has to handle Switzerland's temper: that alone deserves a medal.  XD

The same Hungarian I spoke to actually doesn't mind PruHun (probably because she likes Gilbert as a character), but she hates AusHun and RomHun.  I myself hate RomHun because it's pretty clear that both Hungary and Romania fully dislike each other.  She actually told me that the Austrians looked down on Hungarians during the time they were both together, and even then, the Austrians never thanked the Hungarians despite the fact the Hungarians were the ones who fought off the Ottoman Empire.  I actually prefer pairing Austria with Romania.  XD I've seen Vietnamese people also dislike AmeViet - as someone who studied the Vietnam war for a bit, I can definitely see why: it was a horrible time - not some lover's quarrel.  If anyone disagrees with me just type this up in Google: Agent Orange.  That alone is enough to make one recoil.  Actually, I always thought that Spain was just joking around with that because gay marriage was legal in his country (that, and I refuse to acknowledge Spamano ever).  Plus again: times are changing, even if Spain did propose to Romano and Italy, he's not really doing anything with them now: from what I've heard, he's expanding relations with Vietnam.  XD

Jackie Chan's the bomb.   I've only liked two Philippine OC's - one was a male, the other was paired with a Brunei OC the same creator made.  Yeah, I hate being seen as this cutesy moe blob - I'm rather tomboyish, and I'm proud to be that way, so to make me this girly and sparkly little piece of shit is something I find distasteful.  I'd rather attract men the way I am, instead of this fake little sprinkle.  XD

Definitely! The fandom should learn to respect feminine characters. I hate seeing head canons that Liechtenstein's a Tom boy in disguise that rebels from Switzerland or has hidden tattoos or whatever crap. 

I'm neutral on AusHun. PruHun's my brotp! I hate RomHun for that reason. Why people like those kind of ships?

I think it's usually feminazi's who tend to bash on feminine characters - what's wrong with sweet and nice girl characters? A lot of tough ones aren't done too well, and honestly, we can really use nice and polite girl characters, too! ;w; there are seriously portrayals of Liechtenstein having hidden tattoos? 0.0

The Hungarian friend I made on DA actually made me not like AusHun.  XD PruHun is something I prefer, but nowadays I don't really pair Hungary with anyone: I don't really pay much attention to her... I guess because for those immature minds: hate = love, due to that bull crap where if someone picks and hates you, apparently it means they secretly like you.  They forget that it can just mean, "I legitimately hate you."

I don't really care about Philippines OC's.  I bang my head whenever I see her getting paired up with so many guys: Spain, America, China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong...I've even seen England, Russia and Germany on a couple.

I may not be a feminine person, but I do love female (and sometimes male) characters that like being feminine. Espieclly if they have backbones. Just look up 'Liechtenstein being rebellious' on tumblr. It's just sad that fans want Liech to do unladylike things, because her canon personality isn't good enough. Heck they Liechtenstein rps on DA are horrible. They don't even research the country itself and say that she was born on the damn day Switzerland found her.

That's like saying that you've in love with your abusive step dad or even a better example saying that Timmy from Fairy Oddparents loves his abusive babysitter Vicky.

It's sad, too. I do admit that I've got a guilty pleasure on shipping Taiwan with many characters, but I'd never make them all fall in love with her at once. I prefer shipping her big time with America, because... I'll go into detail on that later. Though I do go around complementing various Taiwan ships, save TaiPan or the micronations. I'm a multi shipper so I like shipping many couples.

I am far from feminine: I'm a tomboy, and proud of it, but that makes me appreciate feminine characters with backbones even more.  =^^= oh God...I'm afraid of what'll pop up there if I search it up.  TT7TT I'd rather have a proper young lady for a daughter and little sister than some rebellious bitch who's supposedly the epitome of "feminism."  Wow...seriously? I only ship Taiwan with Canada (normal and Nyo!Canada =^^= ); but I've also been getting into shipping her with Latvia as of late.  XD I'm a multi-shipper, too: I tend to have other characters I can ship most other characters with (I kid you not, my shipping list is too huge because of that).  XD

CanTai is cute! I'll ship Latvia with Taiwan and Seychelles, because I like shy boys going out with outgoing girls. I'll detest LatLiech. I dislike how people only ship them, because they're the 'same age'. They forget that Latvia's also a YANDERE character (he attempted and failed to kill Sealand with a deadly poisonous flower). Liechtenstein wouldn't the type to be with.

It's like SeaLiech, but I detest it more, because people who ship assume that Liechtenstein's child and a unrecognized country. They degrade her character as moe desu girl that was sheltered from the world. What's worse I've found a fanart of Liechtenstein and Sealand were singing 'I can't wait to King' from Lion King. Where Liechtenstein's Nala. I'm like 'LIECH DOES NOT FIT NALA'S CHARACTER NOR ACTS LIKE A JERK TO ENGLAND LIKE SHE'S DOING IN THE FANART!'.

Seriously? Wy seems to fit more of Nala for that situation even though I don't ship SeaWy (I prefer TRNC x Wy).  That sounds pretty annoying: I do think Liech is innocent, but she's not stupid or this moe blot that can't do a thing and just watches from the sidelines.  That sounds pretty...creepy, but it inspires me for Raivis' character even more for Game of Fate.  0w0

I thought the same thing. Wy being Nala. Liech wouldn't be innocent on things like war, dead bodies and hunting animals in order to survive. Because we've seen her walking put of depression during WW1. How does that make her innocent? If we talk history wise. She's not as you think. She's put with many invasions, barely survived the plague, dealt with a witch hunt that took 10% of her country, she's one of HRE's remaining states and one the few countries that turned down the Soviet Union. I totally see Liech being gullible on many things (like simple pranks), having a fear of water (do to a lot of flooding in her history), being seasick so easily and easily feels guilty if she fails or disappoint someone.

I'm starting to make this my Ms Vietnam OTP (because I ship Male!Vietnam with Spain), and I can definitely see Ms Vietnam and Mr Germany working out: both are serious, both are hard-working, and I think it'd be cute with the both of them being shy (especially Germany).

yeah, that's true. Their personalitys would surely get along. Haha, yes Himaruya said that Ludwig doesn't really know how to talk to girls, if it isn't for work. Sadly he has hardly ever shown him interacting with girls.

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of the Prussia=GDR theory. Though I'm too young to have experienced the GDR by myself, I was raised in it's former territory and it seems just so wrong to me to say that Prussia and GDR would be represented by the same person. According to that logic Austria could've been west Germany. Prussian territory and history are just so different from GDR. The important parts of Prusia are in Poland and Russia, and in the whole north and north west of Germany. I mean the capitol of West Germany was for a long time under Prussian rule. Though I'd kind of like having Gilbert still around, maybe as a represntant of the (slowly dying out) Prussian minority in Germany. I kinda imagine him to still hang out with Brandenburg Afterall Bavarians still call people from the north "Saupreisn" (pig-prussians).

That's true At the beginning I was with a few pairings like "woha, that's ridiculous". Than I got information about their history and that changed my point of view.
It's also very easy to find new shippings. Just pay a bit of attention to your surroundings, politics and history and voilà, a new pairing is born.

Maybe in the new series Himaruya will show some of that Though up to know I've only seen interactions of Germany and Italy e.e Nothing against Italy, but it's not the only country in the world Germany has connections with D: And in modern days it definitly has tighter bonds with other countries.... Ah, what am I complaining here. That's not going to change a thing.

Sometimes a pairing just appears in my head for no reason. Happened so with Finland x Iceland. I never thought about it, until one night I head a dream, where I was Timo and for some reason was in love with Iceland. I still have that dream story in my head, gotta turn it into a story somewhen
