Description Well, it has the right size to be a wallpaper anyway.
The background for the girl is a small b/w photo by the russian photographer DimA, you can look at it here: [link] , A very good photo IMO, thanks to ~abraxas for showing me that website. All the colouring, shading and everything else is made with photoshop.

One of the recurrent tactics of computer art is bookmarking- taking an object and making it symmetrical by doubling it. After using this method for a while one begins to wonder how it can be made more interesting- one could skew it into slight asymmetry, superimpose other images upon it, change the colour field, insert type, and so on. I think that your image is successful, and very well considered. Though I might vaguely object to the female body being used so casually as landscape, the folds of colour, which I see as representing fertility/ frigidity, are pretty compelling. I also like the technical details like the smoothness of the hair, the hand lightly touching the shoulder before melting down.

nice. love the hair. but your should blur/smudge the line where the textur ends. would look less sudden and conspicuous.

It reads to me as the different parts of a woman in a sense that she isn't only symbolised by pink, but there are parts that are blue too ... I hope that doesn't sound too frivolous, but I did find the use of the two colours interesting as they have such strong connotations of gender differences...

The thing I like the most is how the legs and arms are synchronising in their angles and form with the form of the base object/s and how that makes me think of the body as a landscape. However, this is far removed from the usual 'landscape', it is an artificial one and I find that interesting. I definitely like the abstract parts the most, especially how the body looks stretched into something that is going in an abstract direction...

Dude, naked chicks, sweet! Just kidding, I love the blue and red opposing each other and the girls facing different ways then blending in, nice work!

Beautiful conjunction of "opposing" forces, here, and, as well, I love the suggestion that there is a fine line that separates apparent contrasts -- in the use of the same figure to represent both warm and cold. There's a gorgeous sculptural element to this piece that I love, wonderful flowing lines and textures. Well done and conceptualized piece.
