Description
The next story in the Cthulhu series
According to the story, Cthulhu rises from the sea and is as large as a mountain. The origin story ends quite strangely, and I doubt if you could defeat it by driving a rickety old boat toward it if an ancient deity were to rise from the sea. This ending might seem strange for the simple reason that in all of Lovecraft's books, it is referred to as the end of everything, as an unstoppable entity.
It's a bit like shooting Godzilla with a slingshot, and then it, ashamed, goes back into the depths of the sea.
