Mermaid - Drawing Practise — Description

‘And here, we see a mermaid, in her natural… habitat…’
Just a little drawing practise with ibisPaintx from a while ago! I’m quite proud of how I approached colour theory on the whole, regarding the skin and hair, since it is under the blue ocean, as well as the shading in the tail. Obviously, I REALLY had to practise with backgrounds. As you’ve probably seen from previous drawings, I never really put a huge amount of effort in it… but oh well! There’s a first for everything! The drawing, and the shapes of the tails and stuff were inspired by a little doodle I made on some maths booklet I got. Decided to develop it further!
