Wandered across this art challenge over on Instagram and just couldn’t say no!
Lately, I’ve been trying to draw more things that actually bring me joy, and this definitely hit the spot!
Week one’s prompt was Neko, and my chosen extra was claws—which, I’m not gonna lie, feels like a bit of a cop-out for a neko…

But I kinda got obsessed with other things.
Like the fact that this piece is heavily inspired by the cover of The Persian Cat by John Flagg.

Why? Because I LOVE pulp media, and the prompt being Neko while the book is titled The Persian Cat? It made me giggle.
I’m easily entertained.
