Surf's Up — Description
The mad scientist (that's me) succeeds in his experiment...Eureka! I just got CorelDraw X5 yesterday, and have succeeded in doing something neat with it. I could have used a sky backround from the net, but I wanted to use one of my own photos (the picture came from a photo from the newly demolished RCA Dome here in Indianapolis - it was about -20 with the windchill!). It took a while to learn how to do it, but a thing called a magic wand tool got me there. Also, I learned that you cannot increase the size of your foreground picture, or you'll see lots of pixels. Corel works like a more complicated version of Adobe, which I used to have.
BTW, it's such a nice little picture that I started a few weeks ago and put aside. It's actually about a 3 year old idea that never got done...until now. The story? I dunno...maybe surfer dude decided to try the waves near an island called Brobdingnag. Maybe he and his board shrunk. I'll let you decide that. Meanwhile, I'm just happy as hell that you can teach an old dog (that's me) new tricks!
