making this descent

  faster than a unchained cable car
             faster than sight and sound and the way you’ve been breathing

          hell always did look beautiful from above,
                       as i was enveloped in a cold blackened sky

but warmth has stolen this unfeeling sanity -
              cruel, yet my salvation from everything i had come to fear

     need has replaced my bitterness
  uncontrolled and inescapable
           visions and longings grasping at the sides of my thoughts

                      they always win

i’ve regretted the day i met you
         every single moment that i have been without you

                       filthy

this is what i’ve become
         pounding fists against mirrors and hiding under sheets

                but you are always waiting there

                         inside my head.
