I don't play video games (other than iphone games and Nintendo stuff, haha), but I've always loved the look of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City (for those of you who don't follow , who does character designs for the games...correct your mistake right now). I've always said "I wish they would just make a movie, so I could watch it without having to play the game". Well, imagine my surprise when I found out that people have actually put the cut scenes together into a movie and posted it on Youtube! Now, I'm totally obsessed with watching these things, and I was inspired to do a little concept painting of a redesigned Bats.More DC redesigns:

Yeah, I like a lot of your ideas for smaller changes. Esp the idea of an illuminated bat emblem that can be turned off.
When would he turn it on? To serve as a beacon for people in a crisis?

Apart from the cape length, this is the batman costume I would live to see being canon as one of the current universe's Batman's costumes.

Awesome redesign! I can see this as the suit Tim Drake would use once he becomes Batman, it feels like it evolved from his Red Robin costume (pre-New52 of course ^^). Love the asymmetric belt too.

I can definitely see that! There was definitely some influence from the Red Robin costume...and, admittedly, a little bit of Skeletor's influence (as a He-man fanatic, I just can't help it). I'm actually working up a look for Tim right now! I was planning on re-designing the entire bat family, but I don't think that's going to happen at this point.

Would love to see you complete the big 7 JLA members, you already have GL, Superman, Flash and Bats.
And I can see the Skeletor cape harness, kinda like what he had in the 200x series, big fan of MotU here too ^^

I love the shape of the mask in general, the ears are really nice and the small mouth opening is a good idea I'm surprised isn't done more. Nice work! I also see him using the symbol light to blind enemies, or maybe it has a strobe light feature which makes me think of the scene from Kick Ass
