Description
Automatic Assault Rifle (AAR)It's a compact machine gun which is customizable in almost every way possible. Think the grip is too rough? Buy a different one and slap it on.
It also has an inbuilt computer which includes a compass, lots of fiddly bits and pieces, and data on structure integrity and junk like that. The barrel can also extend out of the gun to make it more or less accurate. So you can spray bullets everywhere, or go sniping.

Nifty.
This thing looks A LOT like the flechette rifle from Project: Snowblind, First-Person Shooter produced by Eidos Interactive.
ALSO!
An assault rifle isn't a machine gun. Those are two completely different things.
ANOTHER THING!
The more modular a weapon is, the more weak points there are for rails, clasps, clips, buttons, screws, and whatever else to break or wear.
AND!
That much electronic gear makes for a heavy liability. As convenient as it may seem, it's about as useful as a flashlight during the day. Besides, in the heat of battle, who'll think to look at a tiny screen on the top of the weapon? Another thing-- how would an electronic system read the weapon's frame integrity?
And FURTHERMORE!
The weapon isn't very ergonic at all. The thing (even in Project: Snowblind) looks clumsy and cumbersome.
It does, however, look pretty cool.

I do not know shit about guns. Your avatar scares me. So I won't say anything more.

its kinda neat, but what happens when it gets wet? It's also a tad un-ergonomical... inlike the AR-15
