Here is the promised s4 pic!!! (A luna one will come later) If you don't recognize it, it's from the scene when Celestia is hit by Nightmare Moon's lazer and crashes. Β Β I don't know why, but that is my favorite part of the whole episode. Even though it only lasts a few seconds, the idea that Twilight thinks her mentor and mother figure is dead just gives me chills. Her expression was just so emotional, and I knew I had to draw it. 
So yeah. Happy s4 day everybody!! It's been a long hiatus, but finally pony's back into the swing of things!!
Time taken: 3h, give or take
Tools used: Promarkers, Copic Sketch Markers, white gel pen(that ran out of ink 
PS I'm not sure what Categories to put this in because I used digital and traditional mediums...

correct me if i'm wrong but that was a alchemically induced flashback of some kind so that she could see into the past, it would be impossible for celestia to die because... that's in the past... and she's here now... shtupid

I think it was Twilight's voice...just how DEVASTATED she sounded. How the music stopped playing and all you could hear was her quiet sobs and the soft drip of water. Very raw moment. I loved it a lot, too. c:

It was the only scene where Celestia knew how to dodge, and she stand up despite direct hit. The only moment where she is actually useful.

Could you try turning Twilight's closed eye upside down? Cause the way it is right now usually stands for being happy.

That scene was done really well - even though I was aware it's it showed the moment from past - so all in all we knew she didn't die - it didn't took any impact from it.
And of course awesome drawning, You did it justice
