No one heard your screams of agony, Buddy. Maybe that's for the best...Being liquidated musta hurt like hell =/ And I'm sure he screamed which meant that stuff flooded his insides and ate him from the inside out, too. Buuh... I don't like to think about it. Then why did I draw a picture of it?... Shut up. I hate logic... (LOL Cartoon angst)
Also I wish the liquid hadn't been yellow. It looks like he's drowning in pee.
Over all not exactly the image I had in my mind, buuut close enough so I feel it's okay to cross this idea off my 'to do' list.

I must admit, the Darkwing Duck series did have some rather graphic and disturbing undertones and implications that I never noticed when I was younger, but now that I'm older I find myself looking back and saying, "Oh, Shit! That's fucked up!"

Yeah, I imagine that whole process was at least a little painful. This pic gives me an idea for a story. Once I get permission from a certain author to use their character, I might start uploading art of the concept I have in my head. Thanks for the inspiration! Now, off to catch that plot bunny...

I have watched that episode for first time a couple of days ago, and for a "kids" cartoon it was so cruel I was horrified!
Darkwing only made it even worse, he said it was "easy this way" or something like that, and later he said to Liqui that he "tried to help" ... That was so sad!

Gosh, what I think I like about this the almost- in weird fangirl sense of empathy and schadenfreude- is the water welling up in his throat. There's something very primally horrific about it...
It's really a lovely piece of a cartoon dog be liquidifed in a vat of acid. (*sigh* There's no way to make that statement sound good, is there?)

I have a hard time saying I like this in the sense that it's a picture of someone burning from the inside out in a vat of acid, but I really do like this piece. The pain Bud's going through while he transforms is really well portrayed and I love the bits of blue showing underneath his skin.
Way to show the darkside of cartoons. I always thought it was kind of cold when DW saw him dissolve in the vat and then never told anyone about it.

I'm with Mysticlris. Parts of me doesn't like this picture cause it is someone being literally eaten way from the inside out by acid but at the same time I do like it cause you can practically hear his screams and also the whole transformation thing being that it hurt so bad.
In away this also kinda tells alittle bit about life. One must go through some painful (spiritually and sometimes physically) experiences in order to change and transform themselves.

It may be pretty inappropriate to say that about the subject of the picture, but this piece is beautiful.
I guess all of us have spent one or two thoughts on Bud's transformation that didn't bother us for too long. But to see it drawn is pretty disturbing. And yet awesome.

I think Likky kinda forgot how to use most of his powers. It still annoys me how he lets himself be tied up with rope or caught under a giant fishing net. But his brain was liquified too so I guess that may be why XD
