First of all,let me thank you for your critique and long comment,and the time you spent on doing this,and I appreciate !
It is the first time I am recieving "a critique"comment,so,I don't know very well,how this is"functionning"(lol),but,I will try my best to reply,to what you have said,though my English is not perfect,I hope you will understand my way of expressing.
Comments like this,are most instructive and constructive,if I may say so.
It seems,that my painting didn't let you indifferent,otherwhise you wouldn't have tooken the time to observe and analyze in detail.That is exactly what I am searching,and waiting for.
I am glad ,that you think,that my animals are not looking "too shabby"(lol),I personally think so,too,without being pretentious(lol).To paint animals with oilpainting,is not that easy.^^
When you say,my painting is looking more like a "collage"or a puzzle,You are completely right.It is actually "my style"and way of expressing.Many little "frames "in a big one.that is,what is making the difference with a "realistic painting".I don't know,how one consider my way of working,I would say,it is "oniric"(dream),a touch of surrealistic,mixed up with a part of realisme,though.I don't know,if you watchedother works in my gallery,you can see,that I havea lot of "realistic"works(that was before ,I needed to "chnage style",and I still am doing such works,from timeto time,but,it is not evoking that much emotion,compared,when I create with my "feelings",and so much,I have to say...
That means,that ,initially,I start my work with a feature,(person,in general)who is the mainpart,of the whole image,"the dreamer",telling a story.so,I am trying,to work on this in the best and realstic way,I am able to do,respecting dimensions,shadows,ect.
the rest of the "story is following",floating out,like it is the instant of emotion,I am feeling.I know,from the beginning,when starting a work,more or less,what is absolutely important to put into this "image",but,during the process of my work,I am not "definitive",so,at the accomplishment,I am sometimes,myself surprised...
What is important to say,is,also ,that each feature,where it is placed,ect,is intended to be a symbol,and having a meaning,that can be conscious,or subconscious,for,it is "my story",and everybody,is free,to interpretate it in different point of view,or emotion.
I understand ,what you mean,when you are suggesting,to make some parts in more fading or blurring way,to have the possibility to "focus"at the main personnage,for example.I agree,with what you say,if I would have wanted to make a "realistic painting".
In my case,I think,that although the totality of "many things,or features present,myself put the "focus"on the "dreamer"(the woman,here,in occurence),and that is what in general,watchers are seeming to look at first,THAN you have (or haven't)the desire to "discover",what is going on...
Concerning the woman's body,that you think,it is not "proportional"to the rest of the body,I can understand,that you think so.it is difficult,to see clearly on a small image,what in reality is in a big size,so,I was doubting myself about it,but I can assure you,that it is correct,the way the woman is in a 3/4 degree position,is not easy to imagine for the watcher,maybe,and the fact,that you can't see her both shoulders covered with her long hair,can give you this "impression".
However,I really appreciate your comment,critique and interest,and that is in a way a kind of "reward"to an artist,for the incountable hours of work,patience and determination a "traditional artist"is putting in his work.^^

A lion, A tiger and an eagle...

...those are all majestic and powerful animals, there is also a protective wolf at the end (or beginning )of the little bridge...she is in osmosis with all of them, and so are they.She thinks that she is not belonging to this cruel and mad world, she wants to go ,where peace and harmony is reigning...paradise...she is naked and pure,as she was created, no artifices needed.If she is Eve, she ask Adam to come and join her, but this time, the story would be different, because she saw , what God created, was destroyed and mistreated by humans, for all kind of reasons,so will he join her, and remain in paradise with her...is he smart and sincere enough...

Very good! Spartan's were known as super-soldiers, born and bred for battle. I play a game I love where the title of Spartan is given to a group of futuristic soldiers that are taken as children and raised to be the ultimate soldier. My icon is taken from that game. It means "Legendary"
Well, I can understand the damage harsh words can play on your self-esteem. My wife, bless her soul, doesn't think she is attractive one bit, due to a cruel childhood, but she like you is very beautiful.

Really great painting. Exactly because it's a gift for a beloved friend, you have put all your heart and creativity on it, so the result is really mesmerizing. I especially love the hidden faces in this portrait, as well as the stare and the hair of the girl.
