Tart Root Examples — Description
Tart Root is used to influence 1 mutation on the body. Mutations go over everything EXCEPT if the Glitter Berry is also applied. It will even go over the Accent Dye application, so keep that in mind if you wish to use this item.

The allowed colors are presented above for each mutation.
- Albinism is a white cover up where some parts of the body will appear a bit on the pink side, which usually is around the nose and mouth, paws, armpits, groin area, and ears. Claws will also take on a more pink skin tone and the tongue and inner mouth usually appear a lot lighter as well while the lips are also pink as well.
- Melanism is the opposite of Albinism. Instead of white, a very dark black covers the Floofer. Skin, including the nose, tongue, ears, paws, etc also are near black or black in color.
- Leucism is the pale washing of an overall design. Once you've created your Floofer, you should put one of the three colors shown over it in a different layer and then lower that layer's opacity to fit within the range of 55-70%. This effects everything except skin tones and claws, which tend to appear normal.
- Piebald is a white color patch that can show up either in a small location on the body or cover a lot of the body. They are always asymmetrical. Piebald should be solid and should appear natural with no holes in the patches/blotches. This can effect everything. If it effects the skin, skin influenced by piebald takes on a pink tone.
- Fleabitten is the graying or whiting or snowflaking pattern you may see over a Floofer. It can be weak like in the first example where it's only effecting the back and mane, or it can be as heavy as the 3rd example, leaving only tiny speckles of the original coat appearing through
