Mercury Transit — Description
Shot from the roof of the Physics Dept at latrobe uni acouple of days ago. My first hit at astro photography, so not bad. It's showing the transit of Mercury across the face of the sun, the small black dot on the left is mercury, the one on the right is a sun spot about three times the size of the earth. The entire transit only lasts a matter of hours.

It was a real spin to actually see this for my self. The next time we will see it is 2032, it happens about every 13 years we can only observe it when it happend to be during the day.
