The setting was really quite intentional. It's not supposed to harmonize. She's tied up in a piece of rope. This is not necessarily a nice "fluffy bunnies" image. There is no right or wrong setting for fetish photography, and as I might note, you have none at all in your gallery, so your criticism is a bit misplaced. Please don't attempt to force your concept of a proper artistic image upon other people's work.

No. You made a comment saying, "this image is good. It would be really good/better/bestest if...you only did this, or did it my way." If I wanted a naked tied up beach bunny, I live in Southern California, it's not really a hard thing to do. Yes, it is a fetish piece in the Artistic nudes catagory, per Deviant Art's Nudity policies. You could have stopped at "I like this one," and perhaps next time you will before attempting to convince some poor model that something she had no control over was wrong and improper artistically. And again, it could definately be considered an attack, given some of your other comments to the model.

I could hardly care less about controversy. I generate enough by merely posting my work. If you don't think it's great, that's fine, I'm cool with that. But don't make suggestions to create a whole different photo. You are allowed your opinion, but I'm also allowed to defend my work against it.

Uhm ok...why do you post pictures on a website full of artists? Obviosly people feel they can contribute something to you that may improve your skills. It is their opinion that by saying a specific suggestion they are helping you. If you have a reason to why you did it in another way, Great! Keep doing it, no one says it is definitely wrong for yo to do so. Learn to accept criticism as information, it is not an attack, no one wants to attack you at all. He brough information to your attention, if it is usefull, great, process it and use it, if it is pointless and trivial, too bad! Just note it and move along. If you are insecure about your art, then you shouldn't be, because you have some very nice concepts and photos, but the more people you show it to, the more people will say you are doing this or that wrong, thats how the world works.
