Scriptober Introduction — Description
Welcome my ghost and ghouls and whoever was lucky enough to visit. You are in for quite the treat as I am the conductor on this crazy ghost ride. 31 days of stories to tell aboard this train as we know the day where the dead can walk among the living and Halloween approaches. Climb aboard as I have so much fun in store for you all yet let me warn you, once you get on, you cannot get off this ride. I hope you are ready as this has been something I've been planning for a while now.

*The figure chuckles as they pull out their pocket watch waiting for the train to arrive. After all what kind of fun would it be standing as dead as the grave on some tracks without anyway forward. Sure the stories can carry you far but never far enough for what they have in mind. The train comes to a haunting halt as the back almost seems to lurch to keep up with its sudden stop. The steam bellowed from the front train car as if the train was out of breath from a mysteriously long voyage. The coals flare to life creating an ominous orange glow through the windows. The figure walks on before extending their hand to you. You look at their hand and their almost skeletal frame however the figure looms over you as its mere shadow engulfs yours as if it was merely a small candle that needed to be extinguished. It may be best for you to listen to the figure as the night was cold and the Moon's shining gaze was obscured through the tree line and cluster of grasping thin branches that almost looked like they were reaching out to grab you as well. The darkness playing tricks as you swear you could see contorted faces embedded into the bark. The souls of the damned perhaps as the bone chilling breeze made it seem more like the ghost stories you've heard before someone mysteriously disappears. The figure's eyes shift down towards you as they clear their throat offering their hand again as the train rumbled with impatience*

Come along weary traveler. There is much I need to show you

(This is the start of my Scriptober series idea where I use the prompts from Inktober or Drawtober in this case and make them into caption stories every day. I know I am late to the start so expect days 2 and 3 later on today or tomorrow. I hope you all enjoy as I really am kind of worried about how well this will go. Maybe next year I'll attempt drawtober or maybe add some of my own art to use but I am not at a level to be comfortable with that yet. Happy October everyone!)
