The actual gremlin himself. I also like how fandom consensus has basically entirely agreed that Freddy is a Sphynx cat. Didn't change it since... yeah, makes sense.

Freddy was a kitten from an unwanted litter, the result of his pedigree mother being kidnapped and bred multiple times before the authorities finally tracked her down and rescued her. Freddy was the only kit of the unwanted extra litter that survived, and has to be separated from his mother after she grabbed him by the neck and tried to kill him. Eventually, his mother died, and only then was he allowed to free-roam the house. By then, he had a severe distaste for the humans around him, as they would regularly force him outside, feed him very little, and sometimes even kick at him. This pet neglect and abuse resulted in him attacking the family's little girl, Nancy, in her sleep, becoming unabashedly territorial and wanting to 'take over the house'. Of course, the family tried to kick him out, setting the house on fire by accident in the process, and thinking they'd killed him. From there on, he kept attacking any children who went up to him, until he was finally found by a now fully-grown Nancy. Nancy heard about him causing so much trouble, and fed up with hearing about the 'scary cat attacking kids', decided to take him away. Freddy attacked her, but she quickly managed to stuff him into a pet carrier before he could do much damage. She took him to the vet to get his shots, where he also attacked the doctors, and eventually, he was brought to the cafe. Nancy brought him there specifically, since she heard the place was more than happy to take 'problem cats', seeing as a few of the other cats at that time had issues as well.

Freddy was extremely aggressive at first, that is until he met Jason. Freddy immediately pounced on the ginger tom, and the resulting fight was legendary. By the end, both Myers brothers even ended up getting involved, resulting in Freddy basically being humbled. Freddy's aggressive streak faltered after that, since he now had Michael, Jason, and Mikey watching him ready to pounce on him any second. This whole 'you have to relax' thing only got worse as more cats were introduced. So Freddy's careful about pissing people off too badly, lest the entire cafe jumps on him. ...That doesn't mean he won't stir shit when he sees the opportunity, though. Especially if he thinks he can get away with it.

Freddy no doubt has the most attitude of all the cafe cats. Bo and Chucky do not compare, he's the winner, full stop. He will steal your chair if you get up and scream at the top of his lungs if you try to move him. He's the cat that will jump out at you from around corners and run off just for the kicks. Despite warming up slightly to humans after some time in the cafe, still, touch him at your own peril, he will likely scratch you, and those claws do a lot of damage. Mans has a napoleon complex, Chucky is the only cat shorter than him at the cafe, and he's very upset about it. He likes being a nuisance for fun, and enjoys pissing people off, including and especially the other cats. He tries to get them to instigate a fight so he has plausible deniability, which works on occasion, but they can usually tell what he's trying to do. One of the biggest reasons he annoys people is because he finds it funny, and everyone would be lying through their teeth if they said they didn't find at least some of his antics funny. His stretches for comedy is the biggest reason he hasn't been given away yet, and Freddy doesn't have any plans to stop. Usually, the staff have taken to giving him cat nip when children come in, that way Freddy is far less likely to get aggressive with them.
