Description "Apples never leave their debts unpaid."

Name: Horseapple
Gender: Trans male
Species: Earthpony
Parents: Applejack x Trouble shoes
Siblings: Applebutter

Personality:
Horseapple is, like his mother, a very dependable stallion. Taught by his mother to be honest, though like his mother, he can be a bit too honest: incredibly blunt and hurtful at times without meaning it. Like his father, he's gentle and kind, with a lovable nature that makes him strive to stay peaceful in any given situation. Unlike both of them though, he grew up with a specific quirk to his personality: Defensiveness. Specifically in regards to his gender. Being raised by an old fashioned family with granny smith, it's clear that he would grow up with some problems. He strives to be as 'male' as possible as a result of this upbringing, and though he knows inside that he's male no matter what, he holds this insecurity that makes him often violently avoid any situation that might make him appear 'feminine'.

Talent: Fighting/Sparring
Cutiemark: An apple with a horseshoe print embedded in it.
Cutiemark story:
It was the final straw that forced him away from home. Applejack was pulled aside by Granny Smith, and Horseapple overheard them. Granny continuously tried to convince Applejack to refer to Horseapple as 'she' countless times before, but this time was different. Granny finally let loose her frustrations and emotions regarding the subject: Telling Applejack that 'it's unnatural' and 'She's confused!'. Applejack couldn't believe what she was hearing, neither could Horseapple. Sure, she refused to use his pronouns, and sure she continuously tried to force him to use his old name, but... she never blurted out like this! All of what she was saying was overwhelming, and then, 'Maybe yer right-'. It was all he needed to hear at that point, he ran away.

Horseapple left to see his uncle, Braeburn, in Appleoosa. He burst into tears as soon as he got there, while Braeburn tried desperately to calm him down and ask what was wrong. It took some explaining. A lot of explaining, seeing as Braeburn wasn't quite sure what 'trans' was, but he eventually got it. Braeburn let Horseapple stay there with him, and per his own request, though hesitantly, refused to tell Applejack where he was. But he did tell her that Horseapple was fine. After that though, Horseapple began tending to the Appleoosa trees in his downtime, only for something to happen. A bunch of ponies started picking on one of the buffalo, what was her name, Little strongheart? He rushed to her aid, trying his best to help her, only for one of the stallions to attack him. He bucjed hard at him, and the stallion lost some teeth, causing the whole posse to turn tail.

The rush of the ordeal, the feeling of victory, and the knowledge he'd helped someone in need filled his thoughts and heart, then, his cutiemark appeared.

Extra:
-He left before Applejack could finish her thought. So no, for context: She wasn't actually agreeing with that statement. She was saying: 'Maybe you're right, it is strange, but that doesn't matter. He's my son, not my daughter, and I expect you to respect that just as much as you respect Big mac being a stallion.' So yeah, Applejack says 'Trans rights'.
-His name wasn't Horseapple when he was born, but he changed it.
-Troubleshoes is in the circus in Appleoosa, but doesn't know about the curfuffle, so he sees Horseapple a lot, but never talks about it, assuming Horseapple and Applejack are staying in touch.
-He lives with Braeburn, who at this point is somewhat a secondary father figure to him.
-He has his father's hat, which was given to him a few years after he was born.

Most of the drawn out refs I uploaded before this one were a year old. This one I just drew, and I really like how it came out!
