You're very welcome And that's cool ^^ I've had some characters for years but I just haven't drawn them yet - I plan to do so this year And you're very welcome indeed If it isn't too much bother, could you give me some tips on shading metal, since you did it so well with his bracelets and tail band? I'm completely new to digital art

Ugh, I know the feeling ._. Poor neglected critters.
As for the metal, on this pic in particular, it's actually mostly pencil work and I just used photoshop to add a soft white shine. Though I suppose I could have used white crayon =/
Obviously, choose light direction, and there's usually at least one reflective point. Hmm... I've just done a search for 'metal tutorial' on here, and once you sift out the artisan craft ones, there's some really useful stuff! Easier to look at than me trying to describe it. Doh.

Oh yes... Especially since most of my characters belong to an alien race, the Krovendrakk, and are very complicated to draw XD! And thanks for your advice - I'll go check them out now!

Seriously? D'awwww! That's so lovely of you to say that! And lol, I actually find so-called "hard" things such as wings and paws easy, but "easy" things such as ears and tails hard XD!

Ugh, ears are more awkward than hard... but hands/handpaws, nah... I use tails to cover up hands when I can ._.

Lol - it is weird, isn't it? I sort-of have an obsession with paws - I practise them on my class books so my schoolwork is often covered with disembodied paws and eyes XD! And the tail technique is certainly a useful one... I'll have to use it sometime!
