Description
Lion, sunset, vantage point, cheese *check!*Couldn't say the time I spent on this, on and off for a few months now, only recently coloured
Photoshop CS5, various references & my own photo textures.
I hope the contrast looks just fine on your monitor...not that I'd tweak it for you if it's too dark
Here's a better description & some detail shots: [link]

xD No pressure for this next one to look just/more real then! I'll have to do some scribble submits in the mean time or my gallery will have died of inactivity by the time I finish it ._. lol

Thank you so much dearie! This one did take way too long, but I guess it paid off eh :3 Also a superbig thank you for fav'ing him, such a compliment! Hehe.
Keep up the spiffing work yourself btw, there's a list of people's galleries I need to catch up on and have a proper browse! ;D

No problem at all, that crazy texture you've got going is gorgeous!
And thank you!
Haha there are many I must surf through as well.
You and I should consider doing a trade sometime, if of course you were interested.

:3 The fur texture is pretty much a normal brush, small and set to 'scatter' I've been meaning to try it again!
And yes, I do like trades Hehe. Do you collect ACEOs? They're always a nice option, especially if either of us are ever short on time
But yes, any time!

So glad you think so! The background is mostly blurred squiggles, but the lioness took much longer than it should have ._. Hehe.

My first guess was you indeed took long to make this. Hearing otherwise would feel impossible. Having you spent long time and effort on each bit and detail left every inch of it enriched with life to explore, or at least for me. I must additionally appreciate your work with creating volume and plasticity in deep shade, something I myself find myself doing pretty often. And her expression is just convincing. Marvelous!

Hehe, oooh yes. Well, on and off for a few months. I got faster when I realised I could use the 'scatter' brush to help with texturing! As for the shadows and contrast, I can only hope it looks even on everyone else's screens =/ Really glad you like it! I'll try and do more, similar, when I think I have the time :3 Thank you!

I just realized something I missed when examining it the first time - She might be covered in a scant top but with nothing around her waist... Iยดd keep that when you make more of those similar pictures.

lol Yeah, that does sound like it'd make for more popular pictures! I often try giving my anthros 'bottom garments' but they hardly ever look right, so that's the reason I leave them off xD

Thank youuuu! Starting in greyscale really does make lighting things easier, hehe. Wish I'd worked this way sooner!
Keep up the cool work yourself btw, really liking the style of your newest pics! :3

Preeeeeeetty *______*
I don't think I've ever seen you paint a landscape before... is good, do moar! Nice to see another chiaroscuro (or whatever the hell it's called) fan too. I don't think I've used colour straight off the bat for about 2 years now. Greyscale is just so much easier and takes all the hard stuff out, lol.
I kinda agree with the bloke below on the boob matter, is a bit pokey out But don't worry, doesn't distract from the rest of the awesome

Faelourn In reply to KitJoYuki [2011-02-27 23:37:37 +0000 UTC]
Teehee ^_^
Yeah, I can't believe how much less fussy it is starting off in greyscale. I'd really despair at the thought of having to paint over details now if I realised I'd done a whole area of shadow wrong >_< I might fix the boob, coz pretty sure it is a shading fault =/ Should be easy...again because of grey layer! Hurrhurr.
Glad you like eet I'll obvs have to do more like this to get better and quicker, but in the mean time it's prolleh just going to make my future works look poop 'til then

KitJoYuki In reply to Faelourn [2011-02-27 23:51:57 +0000 UTC]
Ah yeah Well, I'm a picky bastard so I edit colours and crap all the time anyway. Usually I do a 3-4 hour greyscale and the other 9000 hours are painting on top of the overlay. Don't know why, probably because I'm too impatient to perfect a grey sketch right down to the details. *is flawed*
As for the boob, methinks it's in the right place, but the shape of it is a bit strange. It looks a bit detached from her body, the way it's hanging. I once read that boobs should sit like overturned teacups on the chest, if you think of them like that they're easier to visualise I'm totally gay for =wakkawa 's ladies - His works are incredible reference for beautiful soft bewbs

I think I see what you mean, hmm, most likely I've gotten the shading a little wrong, so the angle looks funky ._. Thanks for pointing it out! I stared at it so much I just missed that
