The leg wouldn't be so bad if I had a decent place to work and transport to the School of Art. However the one table that may work is upstairs and we can't work out which one it is we're allowed to use!

Ugh, sorry I didn't reply to this in time! Didn't get much time on my 'puter this week just because of preparations for the exhibit!
Glad you could make it though - The Morlan is wheelchair friendly! Did take some photos anyway, but need some daylight ones for the work shots =/

Hehehe, yay fire >3 My favourite part of the pic actually ._. Clearly I should reference more often. There's also supposed to be critters holding those torches, but I played safe with the 'background' instead. Woe is me. Next time!
Oddly, I've never used the pen tool...I've seen pics with stupidly neat lineart, but something about using it scares me, mebbe it's the effort. I wish I could just draw a line and have it auto smooth >_> I'll try Flash... Anywho! Yeah, using Painter 11 a fair bit now, it stops me being really anal about detail and stuff. I get super annoyed with pics, so I figure if it goes wrong in Painter then it looks more fartsy *shrugs*

Ahaha xD If you're after neat lineart you should try Paint Tool SAI. Everyone raved about it, and I was like, 'meh >.>' and then I tried it and fell in love with their ink tool. It smooths itself without losing the pen pressure stroke, it's heaven :'D

I've started using Painter too recently! Only really the acrylics and oils in terms of colour, but... yeah, mainly only for textures at the moment =_= Painter lacks (or at least, I haven't found it yet) the Free Transform, which makes me super frustrated xD I live for that tool.

On an unrelated note: Holy crap woman, how many groups have you submitted this to? xxD *Is amazed*

SAI... oh man, I've seen that a lot around here recently. You gotta download it? I'm almost out of disk space, though if it'd run from my external I'd give it a go =/
Big yays for Painter! But you're right, it does seem to be missing a lot of 'tweek' tools. I searched the help tab for 'desaturate' yesterday...nothing. Very odd. Kinda glad I won't neglect Photoshop though!
Oh...yeaaahh...groups eh... It's the only way I get faves/watches these days, I swear it ._.

Yeah, you have to download SAI, but compared to Photoshop it's TINY... It's like a portable version. No filters or anything, just the essentials I can send it to you if you're interested.

Fair enough about the groups thing xD They're great for exposure. I think I'm lucky enough to pass the standards of a few massive groups, so I just stick to those You should try your luck over at #digital-artists , maybe I can put in a vote for you xD

Haha, I wouldn't dare submit my anime shit to there xD Only the digital paintings.

There are a few anthro pieces, yeah As long as it's digital, anything goes. They even have a section for fractals (or whatever they are... still not entirely sure what their point is xD), if you're into that.

Yay fractals! *shrugs* They're pretty, and quite hard to do that well, is good enough for me! But yeah, once I build up a few more 'interesting' pics I'll prolleh join up! Rather than having just one to submit, then the rest are booby wolfies or whatever
