So, a short clip from the fic that explains what is going on here...:

"She stood captivated as she watched him. The muscles around his eyes tensing as if in pain before his mouth opened in silent desperate pants. She shivered at the flash of ivory fangs behind thin flushed lips as he let out another breathless growl. She almost yelped when his tongue darted out to trace over those smooth lips leaving them glistening and wet in the moon light. And then… he moaned.

It wasn’t a moan of pain. It was a desperate yearning sound, deep and rich in its hunger. It seemed to run like syrup down her spine and collect in her belly where it coaxed an echoing whimper from her lips.

His body jerked and twitched in a rhythmic motion that drew her eyes from his face to wander down a slowly shifting arm. She felt her breath catch in her chest and some distant part of her brain though she might never breath again.

He was… he was… “Oh my god…” the small whimper tore from her lips as it finally dawned on her what she was watching....
