A few months into her early friendship with Wander, Sylvia goes through a brief period of having misplaced rage and pent-up hostility that she just can't shake.
Wander, sad to see his friend so distressed and irritable, explains that sometimes when he's exhausted everything else he can think of, in a time of need he turns to his magical hat for clues.
He offers Sylvia to do the same, and although she is apprehensive at first, she accepts.

The hat's answer to her anger is...unexpected, and an understandably-offended Sylvia assumes Wander is responsible for this.
His hat, his magic, right?
He has to explain to her very clearly at this time that no, he is not a wizard (or a creep), that he does not control what the hat gives.
It's a magic of its own, and it clearly feels Sylvia needs to blow off some steam in a very particular way.~
Being so open-minded and free of judgment, Wander insists she keep the object and consider this "clue" later, and that there's no shame in any of this.

Yes...she does use the "object" a day later and feels better.
Wander notices the change in disposition, and doesn't say a word.
