Description

Name: Orbitwatch
Age: 19 Moons when registered (currently 30 moons)
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Orientation: Lesbian

Appearance:
OrbitWatch is a mediumlong-haired she-cat with tiger-like stripes that curve into swirls and travel down to just above her paws, darker than her peachy pelt. Her face can resemble that of a fawn, though her red eyes can make others think otherwise. Her eyes give a small introduction of her personality, portraying a glint of something evil— unsettling... She has a line running through her back, a darker shade than the peachy look of her pelt, but fades once it reaches her tail, bringing on a creamy white color. At the very tip of her tail brings back the same shade of the dark lining. Her freckles take on a lighter tone than her face, giving them more detail. Her ears have a nice point, the end of them having a tuft of fur. Her paw pads are a creamy white, though have been painted in a darker tone due to the dirty earth.

Personality:
OrbitWatch never cared for the things that seemed to interest others. She had a sharp, brutally honest way of thinking and speaking, always straight to the point, no matter how much it might hurt. She doesn't bother with lies, but if she must, she’ll use them. Despite her cold exterior, she has a soft spot for kits, the one group she still feels a deep need to protect. Her own painful past has made her want to shield them from the abuse and neglect she experienced.

OrbitWatch usually keeps to herself, staying out of the way of the other warriors. Her personality has kept others at a distance. They don’t approach her, and she doesn’t care. She’s learned not to rely on anyone else.

Her secret relationship with WysteriaHaze has begun to bring out a different side of her. There’s still good in OrbitWatch, but it’s buried deep, and it’s hard to reach.

History:

The Beginning
From the start, OrbitWatch’s existence was a disappointment. Her parents wanted a tom, not a she-cat, and from the moment she was born, she could feel the weight of that. Her father didn’t hide his disdain for her, and her mother’s obsession with him pushed Orbit away even more.

One day, when she was just a kit, she overheard her father say, “We should just dispose of her. Put her in a river or something. For StarClan’s sake, just get her out of my sight.” OrbitKit was left staring at him, feeling like her world had shattered. But she didn’t cry. She couldn’t afford to. If she showed any weakness, her father would call her sensitive and use it against her.

Her mother begged him to stay, but he left anyway.. And never returned. This sent OrbitKit’s mother into a downward spiral. Instead of offering comfort, her mother pushed OrbitKit away even more. OrbitKit was often told that her father’s leaving was her fault, and that she should never have been born. Those words twisted in her mind, making her believe that she was the reason for all the pain.

It wasn’t until another queen, a kind-hearted one, noticed OrbitKit’s suffering that she began to feel some warmth. The queen would let her nurse alongside her own kits until she was old enough to eat prey. And when she was older, OrbitKit would play with the younger kits. They didn’t always understand her sassy attitude, but they still liked having her around, and they felt safe with her because of how much older she was.

Life as an Apprentice
By the time OrbitPaw turned six moons, her mother had completely ignored her, but OrbitPaw didn’t care. She didn’t want her mother’s attention anymore. The damage had already been done, and OrbitPaw’s trust in others had been shattered.

OrbitPaw was sharp with her mentor at first, pushing him away like she always did with others. But he was patient with her, never backing down, and slowly, OrbitPaw began to warm up to him. He was the first cat to show her genuine care, and she began to trust him—something she never thought she could do. Even though she got glares from her clanmates and the occasional hiss if she got too close, her mentor was always there for her. He was the only one she needed.

Warrior Ceremony
When OrbitPaw earned her warrior name, OrbitWatch, it was a moment of pride. The name reflected her sharp vision, her ability to notice everything, even the things others missed. For the first time, OrbitWatch felt like she was seen, like she mattered. Even the cats who had ignored or disliked her before called out her new name, and she allowed herself to enjoy the moment. For once, she felt like she could be a little playful and carefree, something she hadn’t allowed herself since she was a kit.

She touched her mentor’s nose one last time, not knowing what was coming.

Tragedy
Not long after her warrior ceremony, OrbitWatch’s world came crashing down. She found her mentor’s body, brutally mangled and covered in flies. At first, she didn’t understand what she was looking at. But when she realized who it was, her stomach turned. She couldn’t hold back the nausea and threw up. She clung to his body for hours, sobbing uncontrollably, not caring who saw her.

It wasn’t until WillowKit, who had snuck out of camp, found her that anyone realized what had happened. OrbitWatch’s grief was raw. She didn’t care that she was covered in the stench of death—she held on to him because it was the only comfort she had left. WillowKit ran back to camp to get help, and ZephyrStar rushed to her side. They discovered that her mentor had been killed by something far larger than a cat.

A proper burial was arranged, though most of the clan stayed away from OrbitWatch because of the smell. But to her, it wasn’t the stench that bothered her, it was the fact that she was losing the only cat who had ever cared for her. As time passed, the smell faded, but the loss never did. OrbitWatch fell into a deep depression and shut herself off from everyone for moons. Even when WillowPaw, an apprentice at the time, tried to reach out, OrbitWatch only snapped at her.

Her once sharp and cutting attitude had turned into something colder, more distant. OrbitWatch was a warrior who had been broken and no one knew how to fix her.

ShadowClan

ZephyrStar - "Your steps are as elegant as a lions—it's terrifying. Even as you speak, I can't shake the feeling that I’m about to be crushed beneath your presence."

WillowWhisker - "You're irritating at times, but I care about you more than you think. Don't ever let anyone destroy your happiness... You don't know it, but you're healing my soul."

StarlingPaw and AzaleaPaw - "You two will grow up to be great warriors and will fight side by side. You may complain a lot, but there can be strength in that if you learn to use it right."

VultureWhisper - "I admire you. Maybe in another lifetime, I'll get to be the medicine cat I was destined to be."

RainbowHeart - "You didn't deserve to be treated that way by me. I find beauty in your imperfections."

ScarPelt - "You're a great father. Treat those kits right, something I lacked in my childhood."

FungusMane - "Your heart is the purest in Shadowclan by far. You may not have warrior blood, but I'm happy to call you my clanmate. You were there for me, and I'd like to be there for you too."

WindClan

WysteriaHaze - "My heart yearns for more of you. And yet, I'm confined to the shadows of my clan. Hence the name Shadowclan. I am nothing but a nuisance to my clan without you; with you, I betray my clan in return for my act of kindness. If only Starclan intertwined our paths, then my heart could truly be yours."

RiverClan

BrambleFawn - "You're my first true impression of Riverclan. While I absolutely hate you, I know that deep down my views have changed about the clans thanks to you."

ThunderClan

Bonestar - "You're just a filthy betrayer with a heart destined for the Place of No Stars."

Mothdew - "If I ever cross paths with you again, I swear I’ll make sure it’s the last time you breathe."

OrbitWatch's quotes:
"Trust no one. It’s the poison they’ll feed you, slow and silent, until it kills you from the inside."
"Be afraid of failure, not death. If you can't come through, then that's your fault."
"Every wound of my past is just proof I survived what they couldn’t even name."
"I was made in blood, not by choice."
"Hate me all you want—I stopped trying the moment you all made me feel like a mistake."
