Description Belonging to a kingdom of strange monstrosities, the Pawn and Rook are actually representatives of their own species.

Pawns are small, stitched creatures that do most of the manual labor in the kingdom. They are also the most plentiful. Though they have hooks for hands, they are quite dexterous and can do a wide variety of tasks. Small and a bit shy, they usually move in short dashes and darts, surging forward and abruptly stopping to view their surroundings. They are not great attackers, as their main method of attack is lunging at a nearby enemy with their hooks. Large amounts of them can swarm foes and can be used to block off areas. Sometimes they are used for bait, luring in an attacker so another stronger soldier can take them out. Pawns are also known to have a very strange ability. When exposed to a certain energy, they can give birth to another creature from their head. The large, orb head bursts open to reveal a quick growing fetus that can grow into any being. The result kills the pawn, but its sacrifice is well worth it.

Rooks are enormous monsters with stone slabs for heads. With no visible orifices or organs, this makes them hard to take down. They are the demolitionists and muscle of the kingdom, using their heads as hammers and rams. In battle, Rooks barrel straight towards a foe, plowing through anything in its way. It can charge on two legs or run on all fours. It uses its stone head to ram and crush. Its clawed arms can be used for combat, but Rooks prefer swinging their rock heads and bashing foes to death. In its bloodlust, a Rook will furiously pound its chest before charging, or when celebrating a kill. When idle, Rooks have a tendency to scratch their heads. Grand Rooks of the great Black kingdom usually have obsidian heads, while the powerful White kingdom has Grand Rooks with crystal.
