Chelloath — Description
Chelloath is a demonic creature that is a part of a monstrous traveling band. The tales say that the members of this traveling band were once humans, travelling from town to town to spread their songs. They were also thieves as well, wooing the crowds with their musical talent, while nabbing goods from the townsfolk. During one of their heists, they stole an ancient artifact of great power (Rather unknowingly, they just stole it because it had jewels on it). To them, it was just a fancy, but strange, music box, one covered in black jewels and intricate patterns. Little did they know that they had stolen the Cantatio Daemonum, the music box of The Voices. As they examined their latest treasure, one of them opened it and unleashed The Voices within. When the four Voices asked them for their wish, they huddled together to discuss their wish. Currently pursued by the authorities, and enjoying their life of crime and music, they decided that they wished to be able to do this forever, foolishly believing that this would give them immortality and special powers. But their naivety of the way of the Voices turned against them, and the first thing that happened was the whole band's untimely demise. Upon death, their sinful souls were sent to Hell, were they writhed and burned in its eternal fire. But just as they entered the black jaws of the underworld, The Voices pulled them out. With a combination of hellish torture and the vile singing of the Voices, their bodies were warped and twisted into their current forms. With their mortal bodies destroyed, and their eternal essences shaped into these creatures, they could live out eternity singing, playing and stealing the souls of those they meet.

Chelloath is the violinist of the band. His body is rooted to the ground by fleshy tentacle-like roots when he plays, but when he wishes to move, he uproots himself and crawls about like a spider. Due to his gaping, jawless mouths, he has a hard time speaking. He mainly communicates in moans and airy howls, which only the other band members can understand. The music he plays causes physical pain or pleasure in others, depending on the pitch, temp and notes. When the band is luring villagers to their deadly performance, Chelloath plays a pleasing tune that fills the listeners with joy and bliss, to draw them in. Once their victims are entranced and trapped in their haunting symphonies, Chelloath switches his songs to ones that cause pain and agony. Soon after, the band will finish off their songs with a finale that tears the souls from their audience. Chelloath is the more reserved of the group, not saying or contributing much to plans or conversation. But when he does, it usually is worthwhile.
