Banshee — Description
Many have heard the legends of the banshees, strange spirits who act as harbingers of death. They hide within the night, their drifting forms flowing through the darkened trees and starry skies. Most folk never see such spirits, as they dwell in haunted places during cursed hours. Fools and wanderers, though, may stumble into these forbidden territories and catch the attention of a banshee. According to the legends, the banshee will use its powers to gaze into the future of the intruder's bloodline. If the family will experience a death soon, the creature will let out a horrific wail, signifying the coming tragedy. Others argue that the banshee is the one who causes the future death, their ear-splitting cry being a curse upon the meddling stranger. This debate of which is true has gone on for decades, but it is believed that the answer has finally been discovered. The banshee's explosive scream does indeed signify death, mainly for any living thing caught within a hundred yard radius of said scream.

This was one of many things I was going to post for the Halloween season, but I ran out of time so it is all just getting posted at random times at some point. This here was just me toying around with an alien design for screamy ghosts.
