A creative reimagining of Power Rangers using the upcoming 2017 film as a basis (squeeeee!). For this, I took my love for the series and info about the film's story, writing the story as a slightly older/mature story for a teenage audience. I took inspiration from The Breakfast Club, and I admit while writing, the five Rangers became a bit similar to the characters in the great movie. I wanted each character to have a story arc without being melodramatic about it and gave the villains a little bit more character beyond being hammy and evil for the sake of it. Plus, we needed the standard elements of Power Rangers - the suits, the Zords, giant monsters, etc.
