HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and !NOTE: This is not my version of jumping on the Snape bandwagon. Why?
A) It's being overdone to death; Snape was never that cuddly. I mean, come on, there's a reason Lily married James.
B) My mom is one of my most trusted critics and hasn't read the book yet, so no shpoilers for her.
Anywho! This is my first male Harry Potter character that I've drawn. We had just happened to watch HP5 (for my fourth time; I'm not one to say "no" to an opportunity like that when it arises.
) at the IMAX in Huntsville, AL (HP on a dome... The panning shots were awesome!!) when I was suddenly struck by the fact that Alan Rickman is the most perfect actor for Snape and that his costume is absolutely gorgeous. I want a cloak like that. So I was inspired to draw Snape. Don't ask me why it's taken me five movies to realize both of the aforementioned facts about Snape in the movies.
The way I've drawn him is closer to what I see his actual age as. In the books he's only, what, in his forties? But Mr. Rickman is again such an awesome Snape that I can forgive him for being a few years older than that.
EDIT:
M'kay, so the only other actor I might possibly see playing Snape is Jeremy Irons. And whaddya know, he's, er, actually played the part!
And I do like his portrayal of Snape. lol.[link]

Snape, if you recall, refused to give up his future Death Eater friends. Lily gave him his chance, and he didn't take it. I think it's quite fair she ended up with James, who apparently mellowed out quite a bit. I was glad to see that he still remembered her so fondly, though. It was nice to see a softer side of Snape.

lol. No prob. I enjoy talking to folks, so it was really my pleasure as well. Most of the time I just get a "Oh, that looks good!" or "Something's off with the nose" type comments, which are a bit harder to get a full conversation out of, y'know? So I really like it when I get something a little deeper every now and again.

Ehhhhhh... I don't know about Haruhi falling for Bossanova... Don't get me wrong, he's sweet and even sweeter when he falls for her, but... 'Though I do see the reasoning: If she fell for Tamaki, it would cause a huge rift between him and the twins; if she fell for one of the twins, they'd probably end up sharing her, which is awkward in and of itself ( -_-; ) , and Tamaki would never forgive them ; if she fell for Kyoya, Tamaki would never forgive him; if she fell for Hani, Mori would feel awkward around her (and Tamaki would never forgive him); if she fell for Mori, Hani would feel jealous, perhaps, and Tamaki would never forgive him. So, yeah.

Yes, Allen is adorable in all sorts of ways... Shame he's my brother's age... (You know which brother.) And Lavi is cool. Womanizer, but cool. I love that hammer of his and how he manages to just pop up out of nowhere.

We've tried shrinking him. Put him in the wash, hot water, and then straight into the dryer. Shame, it works really well on sweaters and the socks Mom's been making lately... Haven't quite gotten to the brick method yet, though. Not that there's a lack of bricks at our house, mind.
