I never Told the Illussive Man NOR Shepard this...But SSN actually came forward with some "Revolutionairy" material needed to revive him. He nearly dies fighting the Reapers and I STILL haven't told him about who he owes a great deal of thanks to, then this pops up. (amused smirk) Mind you, it's probably the Manager of the SSN activities Silvia who had these new ads pop up. Most likely cause they haven't received an E-mail of thanks from Shepard.

Huh....they REALLY were that big of a help?

I'll admit, their technology used for Increasing Cells, turning a fleck of skin into a whole body suit of skin was remarkable. It would taken us YEARS to grow or clone the material we needed to rebuild Shepard, but SSN made it happen in just six months.

THus. It only took you Two years...I agree, that's...that's somethign Else.

Actually, as I commented, this isn't Salvation fan art, just fan art dedicated to my two favorite gaming heroes. Salvation is my novel length fan fiction which indeed does crossover the Half-Life and Mass Effect universes, and sees these two awesome heroes join forces.

Well, the Combine's connection to the story is basically that the Combine's presence on Earth, were basically agents of the Reapers. Sort of like the Collectors.

Here's a small excerpt:
"Commander, what history claims to be an unknown alien race, that tore open a doorway to Earth, and brought mankind to its knees; known as the Combine, was none other than what we've come to call The Reapers."

"That's ridiculous!" Shepard shouted in an outburst, waving off the idea with his hand. "I've seen Reapers. Nothing in any of the historical codices show anything that even remotely resembles a Reaper."

"And you've also seen what's become of the Protheans." The Illusive Man replied. "The Reapers turned them into Collectors. Adapted them for their purposes." He stated crushing out his second cigarette in his chair's armrest ashtray. "The modus operandi of the Reapers is sort of a hierarchy of enslavement. They will indoctrinate a certain species, such as the Collectors or the Geth, and use them in their destructive campaign to enslave other races in preparation for their harvest. Humanity came very close to suffering the same fate as the Protheans."

And Xen and the vorts are actually quite instrumental in the story. After the Earth rebellions, the vorts went extinct on Earth, due to the Combine's suppression field. When it was deactivated, humans were once again able to procreate. But the effects were irreversible in vortigaunt physiology. So contact with Xen and the vorts had been lost after the closing of the super-portal on Earth. Until my story that is. And lets just say the vorts have been really busy the past 179 years

Salvation itself is done. All 44 chapters are posted. I have to go back and do quite a bit of proofreading just to polish it off and refine it. But the story is done. However, I have sort of turned this into an ongoing series. And am currently working on Chapter 8 of Episode 1

Ah yes episodes I love episodes especially from Half Life 2, so many fans waiting for episode 3... Its a painful wait T^T

If you want to make it an ongoing series then go ahead dude Who knows maybe it will turn into a very successful series and could possibly get the whole series published

Hehe, well I'd love nothing more than to have my work published someday. However, I doubt that'd happen with fan fiction. But I have been rattling ideas in my head about original fiction that I may work on someday

Until then, I'm just happy writing my fanfics

Haha well fan fictions are fun to do whether or not they get published if they are highly valued by the community of fellow fans then that alone is great i think ^-^

And cool what stories you got in mind? I have quite a few things in mind myself as well to be honest I very much enjoying merging Sci fi together with mythology, take the game Too Human as a good example

Sorry about this late reply. I've really fallen behind with my DA stuff lately lol. Uhm... I had this strange idea for making sort of a "Super hero version of Scarface" type story. Sounds very vague I know, but it's not a very developed idea. Just really a concept rattling around in my head.
