Water World — Description

Insert joke about any Kevin Costner jokes going over the head of most internet users I guess. Land does exist on this world but it's extremely rare so big waves and brutal winds make it hard to inhabit so even a lot of flying animals don't have a way to use it, instead swimming and flying exclusively. There's a little bit of stuff here feeding on geothermal vents and their waste creating a coral like structure to start a broader ecosystem. Going with an octopus like creature to be the most intelligent life form is definitely arguably the easy way out, but they're really interesting and there's a lot to play with by bumping their lifespan up a lot and their intelligence a little.
