Description
The Freedom class starship USS Poelman, NX-380, maintaining the canon-querulant numbering from Star Trek Beyond that put a much higher registry on the first Warp 4 capable ship than the first Warp 5 ...
Named for Trevor Poelman, the 21st Century Canadian advocate for uncomplicated decency, and host of #BeliefItOrNot. Work, work, work, Sky Moon, as they say.
I'm fully expecting the Wolf 359 participant Freedom class to be released as part of the upcoming DS9 Dominion War pack in Star Trek Online, and will be interested to see how they rationalise the class names. As it is, Kirk's Farragut from Strange New Worlds is just Farragut class in game, though Bellerophon class in universe - a class that already exists as an Intrepid variant in STO.
