..:You Can't Take Him:.. — Description

"Please, you can't take him away! Look at him! Just look, he's human! He may have Faunus blood but he looks human...You can't do this...please..."

These were the last words Marie Queens could say before her newborn son was ripped from her arms. Marie was the second daughter of the then influential Queens family of Vale. While visiting Mystal her family went to an arena fight; this place kept Faunus as fighters similar to gladiators. She became smitten by one of the fighters, a Cheetah Faunus named Rom, and did what she could to be close to him.
With time, trust and many secret ruses to gain entry, the two fell properly in love. This did not last though, as eventually they were caught. Marie had planned to use her inheritance money to purchase Rom and free him; they would then run away to make a life together. When they were found out Rom was executed for r*pe, even though it was consensual. At the time Human Faunus relationships were illegal resulting in this punishment.
It was then discovered that Marie was pregnant. Her family disowned her, and agreed that the child would be handed over to the man who originally owned Rom. When the child was born, he was physically human. For a brief moment Marie thought that maybe they wouldn't take him, as all the fighters in the arena were Faunus. But it didn't matter, they took the boy and he was raised to be his fathers replacement. His eyes are of both his parents, the clearest sign of being a mixed blood child and would never be accepted by either side.
Over the next thirty plus years Marie fought to shut the arena down and free her son, who was named Crimson. By the time she succeeded unfortunately he had died in battle, and his wife of an illness. She was however able to save his son, her grandson. She raised the boy through his trials and troubles, till he became a man and joined the Vale army.

That boy was Flynn Ace.
