..:Seasons of War:.. — Description
The four Seasonal Maidens during the time of the Great War of Remnant.
During this time in history, the brotherhood who protected the Maidens attempted something new. They would choose the next candidates, train them and have them bond with the current holders. This way, when the current holders died, they could transfer the power to the one chosen and deemed worthy. Unfortunately, these plans fell through after a few generations, when an incident occurred and a war began...

Selene Chiroptera, the Winter maiden:
The maiden that wasn't given a choice like the others. When she was fourteen, she was nearly killed by Grimm in the forest near her home. She was saved by the then Winter maiden, Eliora, who died in the process. Because she was so focused on saving Selene, she failed to think of her true heir, her daughter Wynter, and the power was passed to the young Bat Faunus. Her new frosty powers made many around her ponder in both fear and intrigue, as none had ever seen anything like it before. It wasn't for another two years till Selene learned what she had become, as another of the new generation of Maidens came to take her away and train her for what was becoming an eminent war.

Maize Brisque, the Fall maiden:
A calm and collected young woman, Maize was the Maiden who came to bring Selene into their team. She was the first of the war generation of maidens to gain power, but did not see herself as leader. Since Eliora lead previously, she saw Selene as next in line. Maize herself was chosen as the Fall Maiden for her shifting nature, as she could go from warm and caring to cold and stern if a fight came to her. While she did not see this path for herself at first, she quickly accepted and become a brilliant and capable fighter.

Suvi Azalea, the Summer maiden:
A somewhat boisterous young woman, Suvi was the fiery freelancer of the team. While she may have been close with her fellow Maidens, especially Vanessa, she also liked to work alone. She would often vanish for days at a time to help others on her own. Some questioned why then she was selected to be the Summer Maiden, but her kind heart and optimistic soul made up for her wild tendency's. Though she was not to be trifled with when angered, as her maiden powers tended to blow out of proportion, mostly with fire, when ticked. But all in all, she was wonderful fighter and defender to the end.

Vanessa Mariposa, the Spring maiden:
The youngest and sweetest of the war era Maidens, Vanessa always sought new ways to help others. She often chose to use her powers to help poor farmers grow bountiful crops and heal the sick. Her Maiden powers combined with her healing Semblance made her a valuable asset to the team and the war. She was the last to gain her powers, receiving them while Maize was retrieving Selene from her homeland. She was never the strongest fighter in the group, opting for a bow or one of the muskets newly created for the war. She preferred to stand in the back, healing and shielding her comrades with her vines and other plants she grew with finesse.
