Haven is a cousin of Haden’s. The Queens family and Ace family are both derived from one family. Her mother is the chief of Police in her hometown and she didn’t want to follow in her footsteps, but took the skills she learned to Beacon. And even though she’s the leader, she doesn’t consider herself smart, and her pans are usually a bit messy to say the least.
