Lightsaber Design — Description
A friend of mine asked me to design some lightsabers that I would personally use. So I made two, two to be used potentially by an oc I will likely make in the future.
The main, longer one is a purple blade with a hook near the base. Primarily to protect the hands from any lovely folk tryin' to Disarm me by a hand. Secondary purpose is to disarm *my* enemies. Their sabers to be stuck in the hook, with a flick of my wrist it either flings the blade from their hands (depending on how rigid the saber is to the hilt) or breaking the blade forcing them to reignite it.
The second blade is a more... utility saber? In a way. Designed to hack and slash at things, as the character who uses these will be a junker. Something to cut and sear bits and bobs to either carry easier or get into hard to reach areas. It also functions as a weapon too, with the hook helping with locking enemy's saber's in the hook so my guy can kick at them while they are deadlocked Or, more exciting, to be used as a sorta jerryrigged shuriken. Using force, or a mech hand that can swivel on a ball joint, have it spinning Really fast and throw it. Using the force to guide and Saw anything in it's path.

Side lore that I thought up while drawing them. The kyber crystals found in these were actually commandeered from dead old republic era jedi. Specifically a Very dead jedi (Purple blade) and their also very dead younger associate (yellow). With a solid understanding of engineering and a little bit of improvising, said oc built new sabers to fit his own style. Giving him these two lovely swords to work with in his junker trade.
