Cortex Vessel evolution! — Description

What is it with me making so many AUs? Gotta love the horror ones though obviously
Cortex Vessel
The species that Cortex Vessel is one of is what's called an Orycal, a parasite species that can physically fuse with a host's face like a living mask to eventually create a single coherent and very much functional creature.
The limbs of an Orycal host are covered in keratinous plates like armor, and develop 2-3 sets of horns. They are terrestrial, but can be somewhat arboreal and aquatic
They heavily modify their host body to possess THEIR reproductive system through a specialized metamorphosis, and the horns give away their finalized gender, with females having smaller horns. Vessel has a defect that gives him smaller horns, but he IS a male.
They are omnivores and can adapt to their host's planet's main food sources whether plant life or live prey
Their tail has a form of paralyzing venom but the stinger itself is usually sheathed, can also be used like an extra hand
They technically have 8 limbs, but the extra four that resemble tendrils are usually slotted into gill-like slits in the torso, tucked away
