The Snow Queen — Description
This is my entry into the artnouveau contest. The theme was fairy tales in the art nouveau style, and I chose to represent Hans Christian Anderson's Snow Queen with Kai in the style of early Alphonse Mucha paintings. The digital painting was done in Photoshop CS6 with a Wacom monitor. I did a sketch on tracing paper, scanned it, and redrew everything by hand on my Wacom monitor and deleted the original. Since I don't know how to use vectors, all of the snowflakes in the border were created individually in photoshop so that each is slightly different...never again...lol. The background texture is a free use parchment texture that I found somewhere on the web and modified in tone and color.
