Falling Angel — Description
It was the prelimary desing of one of the main charaters for a manga an online friend and I used to work on. The girl, Tsutanai Mitsuakai, got longer hair afterwards but remained mostly similar.

This is also the first digital painting image that I am actually proud of. Although the skirt has odd shading (I was not the best when it came to shades back then) the rest is actually very good.

I used a program that not many seem to think of when it comes to digital paint. Paintshop pro 7. It was, actually, the only program I had access to and knew how to use. Later I learned the rudiments of Photoshop.

As most digital paintings I do, I sketch the picture first, scan it then color it. Usualy by layers (although paintshop does not allow much freedome with layers). The colors were picked randomly and, now that I think about it, her dress should have been a different color. Though I'm not sure which one. I've always thought there were not enough pretty colors... ^-^
