Beak Olored... — Description
I still struggle with color and value. It's like my brain isn't wired to handle that stuff. As per suggestion from Hong Li over at characterdesigns.com and Gnomon, I did this entirely in value first (black and white), and dropped in the colors on an overlay. So how did it turn out? I'm not sure. Even after cheating and using the Levels control to punch things out a bit, it still seems a little too muddy. Of course, he's supposed to look a little muddy. Maybe it's just that background gradient that's not working. Hmmm.... must think...
