Cthulhu — Description
Many of you might know this big fella, H.P. Lovecraft's famous comatose alien god. I can't tell you how many times I see the same old version of him in illustrations, so I tried to be a little more creative with him while still holding true to Lovecraft's descriptions somewhat. (added a wing in Painter, 'cause it was bugging me AND because there's no way I'm gonna change the original sketch and color the whole thing again)

This is one of the many concept drawings I'm making for my new book I'm putting together, in conjunction with my illustration classes at CCAD. The project is going to require a TON of concept work and illustrations, but hopefully I'll have the book finished in time to debut it at Mid-Ohio Comic Con in October.
