i like it. when the panda fur came out i said to my self: maybe i should start a zoo. i will make a zoo map, recruit mice with animal fur, and put them in cages!

remember that it is really the userbase's preference, after all, meli did make the panda fur since so many of them were entered in the fur contest.
Actually I think it's more that most people can't think of original designs so they pick their fav animal. Although the wolf one is pretty unique.

I cant say I understand how colored furs are different than mice wearing hats and things from anime, games and other things. I mean it never was a game about realism. They're still mice but they've transformed into mice that can have unique coloring that is not native to the species. Sounds legit to me.

Well, everyone likes different things
I'm sure if the artist absolutely *hated* them they wouldn't have drawn them out so nicely
They did state they prefer the colors over the furs, and that's their own opinion
Some people are going to wish it was only realistic mouse patterns, others love the other animal furs, you shouldn't let it get you sad, it's just a difference in preference
I don't think it means they're personally disappointed in you for adding them or anything :[

Argument against Transforzoo #1:They all have retained their mouse like features, it's just the mice furs are creatively dyed to resemble other animals.
Argument against Transforzoo #2: Mice are wearing contacts and costumes to resemble other animals.
Argument against Transforzoo#3: The animal furs are another creative way to accessorize fictional mice who are capable of dancing, crying, stomping their frustration out & etc.
Argument supporting Transforzoo: Mice are slowly loosing their authentic genetics by mixing with other animals, lul.
I had fun making up my theories to support or protest your illustration, but I actually like your analysis as well as the drawing.
