Ram Ranch Really Rocks — Description

I’m pretty surprised there isn’t more adult art of Striker. Quite an overlooked opportunity for the fan base I think, dude is a pretty badass cowboy imp and quite the charmer too. I’ve for a while had one more idea in mind for this character, so I went ahead and drew it out.

Pose-work is based off of those of vintage pin ups, though many pin ups take care to cover up rather private bits.

A good deal of the pics I post here all start out as rough traditional sketches but I outline and color them digitally, often altering the pose and fixing proportions. This is something I thought to do differently and keep it traditional with some slight digital clean-up. Working traditionally definitely has its issues that digital lacks. Mistakes made on paper most often cannot be fully erased and the sketch gets messy pretty quickly that calls for a good deal of digital editing. And alas I was faced with one of my greatest art peeves: the wrinkling of paper. I assume most artists resolve this issue with thick paper that doesn’t warp or crinkle at the slightest hand movement. I should have known what I was getting myself into when I decided to draw on the back of some math homework.

All of that aside, I do like how the sketch turned out. Might end up making a cleaner digital version of it sometime in the future. Not soon, though. I’d like to get back to drawing some Bathymetry or something different now that this is done.
