Self Aware Robots — Description
Self Aware Robots would not be restricted by size constraints like our biological bodies are (I'm saying this not as an absolute though, for who knows what our shadow governments have produced as of this date out in the sands of southern Nevada or the labs below Wright Patterson Air Force Base, or Pine Gap Australia for that matter.).

With the increasing advances in processors and the steady miniaturization of their constituent parts these Robots, left to their own devices, could make duplicate artificial beings on exact par with their own intelligence yet drastically reduced in size.

Artificial beings that might become their favorite pets or toys should "might making right" prevail in their over arching philosophies as it tends to do with our powers that be.
