Description

In the modern world we have managed to find ancient creatures from prehistoric times that have survived the greatest mass extinctions until they reach the age of man unnoticed, as for example celacanths, the horseshoe crabs or the triops, and the list goes on, and among them since its first sights in the early XX century is the Trunkofaarus, this rare marine predator of 10 meters long, of plump body with rounded fins and a long tail, this for a long time was considered as one of the last marine reptiles, however, the reality is that also it was discovered that this bizarre predator is also the last of the non-avian theropods, belonging to the lineage of the spinosaurs, this lineage had at some point left the mainland to conquer the ocean maybe from a kind of high adapted aquatic ancestor that at some point they managed to become independent from the earth and kept hidden by the following 85 million years.

After having been sighted on beaches with different carcasses and an sight of a encounter with orcas this animal had remained in the attention of cryptozoologists until its confirmation of its existence in April of 2013, to be later searched by biologists and zoologists in several research attempts. Like the beaked whales or the giant squids almost nothing is known of these creatures apart from what of the known bodies and few historical sightings count, so far we just know that they are carnivorous creatures, adapted to attack medium sized animals such as seals, fish and cetaceans using their jaw together and a long muscular trunk. the head has fused with the body although it is able to move forward when it needs to bite, however it remains retracted almost to the chest giving the impression of not having it. They have a pair of semi circular fins, which are not their main way of locomotion, instead they mainly use robust tail with a large fluke.

There is much more to be known about these creatures, maybe the most wonderful beings that have been able to survive until our time.
