Description
Day 8: I wanted to take one day for some spec fanart, in this case showing the peculiar behavior of the Daggerwrist from Expedition. The large pregnant individual attacked brutally at one group member to the point of mortally wound and then proceeds to cannibalizes it.Related content

I remember this scene from the book. Too bad no one illustrates this scene when she turns one of her fellow pack members into Caprisun pouch. Thanks for making my day brighter.

If expectant daggerwrist mothers get cannibalistic cravings and they only produce a single offspring at a time, how does darwin four still have any daggerwrists?

I think it is because they are probably hermaphrodites that any individual can get pregnant, at the same time there has only been one example of daggerwrist birth so we do not know if 100% of the cases is the mother being murdered.

I think it may have been an anomaly. Which is probably why (if memory doesn't fail me) the flock/pack didn't do anything the first time it was recorded.
