Description
A work in progress view of an engine I'm designing. It shares its layout with the Napier Lion engine, which had three banks of four cylinders (however, here the banks are 90 degrees apart). The Lion held numerous land, air, and sea speed records during its time.

Basic dimensions are: Cylinders: 12; Bore: 3.5 inches; Stroke: 3.5 inches; Rod c/c: 6.125 inches; Displacement: 404 CI (6.6L).

The valve train features four valves per cylinder, with dual overhead camshafts (6 cams in total).

Rendered in Blender 2.49. Crankshaft and pistons fully rigged for animation. Valves and cams are the next step.
