Description
For an exercise in low poly game assets I've come up with a design of a crystal-powered floating castle. I was aiming for a Warcraft-ish (as in Frozen Throne, not necessarily WoW) style and limited myself to a 512x512 texture - which ultimately was more than enough.
The glow is not a renderer effect, but rather an old trick with textured planes always oriented flat towards the camera. Similar technique allows for a volumetric light imitation coming out of the tower's window.
Modeled and painted in Blender, textures adjustments done in Photoshop.
