Origami Sea Turtle Instr. — Description

This is a very old design I did, probably the next one after the unicorn. This one was actually what the much more recent Pliosaur was based on, but I ended up doing the instructions in reverse...oh well.

A note on paper choice: if you don't use foil paper, be VERY careful with the back of the shell as you start folding the lower flippers and neck. Don't be tempted to try folding the model in half to make it easier. If aything, the shell should be partially inverted the other way to take strain off of the front of it until the neck is formed.

A note on the difficulty level: although the pliosaur is easy enough, this one has some weirdo folds that aren't that intuitive.

Usage Policy
To me this design is not complicated, so I would expect that other people have happened across similar to nearly identical patterns. However, I did develop this myself and therefore hope that my choice of details is at least somewhat unique. If you follow this tutorial to create a sea turtle and wish to post the result as artwork either here or elsewhere, please credit the design you used to create the model.
