Growing up - character notes — Description
This initally began as a quickie doodle of Imperial Brazil but I got carried away and decided to make it a character development thing(?)

Brazil
•As a child; - around century XVII and XVIII. He looks 6-8 years old??
•Empire of Brazil; - 16-17 years old in the second half of the XIX century. He also wore his hair pulled back during the first half of XX century. And he still wears it like that in more formal situations.
•Brazil’s dictatorship (1964-1985). I’m not very knowledgeable of Brazil’s history from the XX century, so I gotta research better. This was a dark page in his history so it has to be taken carefully.
Uruguay

•As a child; -around century XVIII. 6-8 years old also. At this point he had already settled as a Spanish colony, although he had been continuously disputen beteen Spain and Portugal several times since he was born.
I wrote cisplatina there but I think I made a mistake; he became Cisplatina a while later.

•Cisplatina --> Banda Oriental. Teenager Uruguay (14 years old,probably?). This is his appearance during the 1820s, when he was struggling with his independence from the Brazilian Empire; and the years afterwards, as he started developing as an independent nation.
I wanted to give him a ponytail just as a matter of personal taste p;

•Modern Uruguay --> XXI century Uruguay, 18 years old. He has recently become very progressve and open minded to a lot of life aspects, although he still keeps some traditions.
I always draw him as a prince charming because he's my precious prince charming, but in reality, he's quite awkward with women haha. Unlike Argentina and Brazil, he voices his opinions rationally and not as loud or obnoxiously. He is partially more stoic and serene than his neighbours, except when it comes to murgas and music in general.
He seeks Latin America's progress by working together but he still insists on denoting his individuality; he hates being compared to Argentina. What he hates the most is being referred to as the spin off between Brazil and Argentina (this is a thing that I've read several times, it's amusing omfg).

Eh; sorry if this seems very vague, feel free to comment or help me to expand in these topics with your headcanons.
